well put austin. that is what the 10th amendement of our constitution is supposed to do. powers not given to congress are to remain with the state and the people. congress you have no power over my health and I’m opting out of social security so I can save and invest my own money and know its not being spent away like what you’re doing with it.

We did have a large wildfire in this area. The surrounding county volunteer firefighters came together and helped put it out. Still only used local govt. for that. The states could run their own consumer product safety agencies. I do think that federal govt. should only handle national defense and interstate commerce and thats it.

NecroKath, other nations use that and find that its too expensive. look up why they’re bringing back a private industry. the UK is and Canada is beginning its move back to it. also those nations that have it have it with a very high price tag. it is not health caer reform its an insurance company. anybody willing to give up their choices and responsibilities to any entity does not deserve their individual freedom.

It must be nice to live on the fluffy little cloud that you live in, dude. To begin with, Medicare DOES NOT WORK, even if they don’t make a profit. This is not even really about caring for people, it is a power grab by the government to restrict your lives. We can not allow this reform to pass. Write a letter, call, email, protest, and any other way you can come up with to put a stop to it. Look at the new report about breast cancer. That report is a first glimpse into Socialist Healthcare.

Obama wants to bankrupt America via Cloward – Piven. More and more people are realizing this. The question is how do we stop him.

  6. NecroKath says:

Alot of other countries use a Universal Healthcare system and it works out? Why do some of you Americans fear a Universal healthcare system that would help everyone especially when so many other countries use it as well?

  7. addiktion13 says:

Of course this is somewhat of a poor example, because the crazy driver’s auto insurance would cover it for you. But I wonder how much the government can actually afford. As of late, not very much and the country is damn near broke so I’m wondering how costly this is going to turn out.

  8. addiktion13 says:

If I managed to save my money instead of paying insurance for 10 years at $200 a month that would net me $24,000. A car decides to slam into me one day and have a $30,000 bill for a broken leg. Thank goodness it wasn’t more than that. Either way I’d still be stuck with a $6,000 bill. The problem here is that only people with a lot of money can ever afford health care on a one-on-one basis like that. It’s always going to be a giant debt to the gov to run a socialized health care system.

  9. 1jsummer says:

but if you do support a federally ran option (even though it violates the constitution) how about you make it so that people can opt out of it. meaning you pay for it from your own paycheck and absolutely no other tax money will go to that program. it has to be supported only by those using it. everybody who doesn’t want it will not pay a dime for it. no fine or jail sentence for not having insurance.

  10. 1jsummer says:

violates the 10th amendment of our constitution. although I guess that has been dead for a while. I could support state run health care thats within bounds of our constitution. but how about we try to reform the private sector first as that is much easier to fine tune than to just throw out a gov. option and then it goes band and you cannot just get rid of it. once its there it will be there forever like social security.

  11. 1jsummer says:

secondly our government has history shows cannot run a balanced budget. if the ‘gov.’ which you rely on for your health care fails what do you have? if you’re retired you’re twice screwed you have no retirement saved either! if you’re live off of wellfare what will you have? you will all be left with absolutely nothing. this would be chaos. it is why gov. cannot be absolute provider of services. they’re job is to pass laws to protect us from high costs. to regulate not control. a public option

  12. 1jsummer says:

actually the simplicity of this video stupifies all who support public option. you see all the expenses are not being changed. yeah sure the government may take less than an insurance company, but the real actual cost of health care at a hospital remains unchanged. what about those executives stealign from us? why cant we get rid of ridiculous law suits too so Dr.s can lower their costs? for the ‘uninsurable’ why not offer a corporate tax break to those who will take the ‘uninsurable’ ?

Redistribution of wealth is the centeral tennant of Communism. It’s not like it is just a side thought. It is the integral part of Communism. Further, TR was a totalitarian who believed in the redistribution of weatlh, and practiced class warfae. What about that does not make hima Communist?

  14. schneiderdt says:

the us is so far from soviet communism, sorry to say it mate, but you have no idea.

  15. schneiderdt says:

redistribution of wealth is just a part of communism, to say all redistribution of wealth is communism is just idiotic. and for you to call TR a communist, its like you’re joking…with a really lame joke. there are varying degrees of redistribution you know.

  16. irishboi7 says:

This is so simple i love it! I hope all these anti- healthcare people across the country see what happens when someone in their family is seriously hurt and ends up with a $20,000 bill for a few nights of crappy care and ibuprofen.

  17. LastStand2010 says:

Excuse my love of freedom, but I think its just a tad wrong to force people to pay for other people’s healthcare. Private insurance has it’s problems, but I prefer it to relying on the government. And besides, fire and police departments aren’t run by the federal government, and water treatment is a poor example of a well-provided service. The crap they put in the water is mostly useless or harmful. Also, not federally run. I assume this video is for indoctrinating small children.

  18. PasadenaJacket says:

Err, Austin, what would happen if a large wildfire were to hit your county? You would only request help from other volunteer fire departments?
How about national defense? How about consumer product safety? How about the many, many innovations sponsored by the government (the Internet, most vaccines, …)? Should we do away with all of those?

  19. austin895895 says:

First of all. The fire dept. in my county is voluntary.
we do pay for the equipment with tax dollars but we have no paid firefighters. So my community gives their time to fight fires. Second the sheriff are paid by tax dollars but are local govt. I have a water well so I am my own water company. American public schools are a joke. lastly, medicare only takes 6 to 8 cents for every dollar because they are supported by other agencies.

  20. giantrobot4 says:

    Bravo!

  21. Darkrift777 says:

Something you forget is MEDICARE IS BROKE!

  22. stan300zx says:

I guess I’ll be going to jail because I’ll refuse to be your tax slave for this shit!

  23. stan300zx says:

This is Sick Socialism period Get real and learn something about freedom and Liberty like cc2009 instead of this crap!

  24. kleinjc says:

Ridiculous. Here in Canada, some provinces are spending 51% of every dollar on administration and management. furthermore, in the US, Medicare is run as a HUGE unfunded liability. If you want good and cheap health services, get rid of the government mandates and red tape. Give the people a real free market; nation-wide. With unbridled competition in a for-profit model, prices would drop and service would increase as it does for every other free market. More government is not going to help.

  25. Atheist2006 says:

Why is this brilliant video only rated 4 stars?
