I have a 1953 Ford Customline, chopped. I currently have Mercury, but it is not for classic cars, so they will only pay ACV.

There are many types of coverages it depends on if you drive the vehicle or use it for shows. Most insurances for classic cars are really inexpensive. and if you have an appraisel or can show the value they will never pay ACV if you can prove the vlue of the auto.

Hagerty is a good one. You can either contact an agent or go online to http://www.hagerty.com for a quote. They do have good rates but the best thing to do is check with an independent agency. They usually have a couple of different companies they work with for classic vehicle. Make sure that it is an agreed amount policy

google search Antique Auto Insurance or Classic auto insurane in your area. You want to go with an Antique, Classic, or stated value policy.
