Do you need to report state disability insurance?

My wife was on disability for about 8 weeks due to pregnancy. We have a tax appointment this weekend but I have not received the 1099G form for disability only Family leave act. Will she get the 1099 or not? I looked on the SDI for california and it does not mention anything about having to report it. Paid Family Leave does say that the money will be reported and you will get the 1099G but disability does not mention anything. Before I call my tax guy or the state does anybody know anything about this?

I need health insurance hopefully that also includes dental. I make to much for state run plans and don’t have enough for private plans they want as much as $1,000 and there is no way I can afford that. But I can’t afford not having any either. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

General Contractor looking for General Liability Insurance for another state?

I am currently a Residential contractor looking for General Liability Insurance that would cover me in other states as in Georgia. I was wondering if anyone knowes of an Insurance company that may underwrite my buisness for structural repairs. It may seem as simple as asking my insurance company”state auto” but they are having a hard time finding a company that would underwrite this.

My family and I are permanent legal immigrants in the United States and we live in Alabama State.My wife and I have not been able to get any job yet.Because of that,we have not been able to take any health insurance policy yet.Our applications to get Medicaid and ALL KIDS for our 2 kids have been denied because our children are not US citizens. Does anyone know any agency or organization in Alabama State, apart from Medicaid/ALL KIDS that can help us have subsidized health insurance for our kids?

after doing a lot of data entry into the insurance websites and phone calls for quotes, I was led to believe that Geico had the lowest price quote. I talked to a lady Geico agent and had intended on meeting her at the office. She wasn’t working at the time I went, so I talked to another agent, which happened to be her husband. Long story short, I was lied to and so I looked elsewhere for motorcycle insurance. The last insurance company I went to for the day I was shopping door to door, was State Farm. But, by the time I got there, it was past 5:00 pm, closing time. I went on Monday and signed the policy with State Farm.

For me, the auto insurance company USAgencies is cheaper than Progressive, Geico, All State, State Farm, …?

Just a general question on auto insurance & how these policies are handled by the agent we pay our premiums to – (note, I am a bit ticked as I write this so please excuse) – about a month ago my truck was parked in a friend’s driveway – my friend accidently backed into it and damaged the bedside (quarter) panel. Its in the shop now getting a new panel installed, & painted. No issue there. What annoys me to no end is this – when I contacted my state farm agent here after the accident happened, he of course “subrogated” the entire claim to my friend’s insurance co since friend was ‘at-fault’ completely. OK. Translation to me is: “I” get to do ALL the legwork, go after friend’s insurance company, make all the LD phone calls, faxes, emails, and run around to get all the bodyshop estimates & approvals, submit to friend’s company, take my car in, get a dirty little rental car for a week or 2 while its being fixed, etc etc. OK, I am up with all that too, although it ticks me off to no end that “YOUR OWN” agent can wash his hands of the entire deal, and make you do ALL the work on a claim, when it is NOT even your fault. But OK. Finally, here’s the ‘rub’. I get a call today from my agent’s secretary saying “Hello Mr Jones – in light of your “RECENT CLAIM” we’d like to sit down with you and review all your policies & coverages” !!! WTF ??!! MY CLAIM !!??? This damn accident was NOT my fault, and “MY” agent did not do jack sh*t to help me process and complete this claim, I HAD TO DO IT ALL !! So now he has the balls to call me up and say “In light of MY RECENT CLAIM” !!!! I feel like punching his whiney little face in, to be frank – so agents/assitants out there (especially you state farmers) WHAT IS UP WITH THIS CALL I JUST GOT from my agent?? I feel like telling him to shove his “review of my policy”. haha !! WTF ??
Thanks for that info – So does that mean my policy premium will go up or not? The claim was not my fault – it was the other party’s fault – so I don’t see where my policy cost should rise because my agent is aware of the claim ??
