What is a good health insurance for children with special needs?

My son is on a feeding tube due to a small bowel transplant he received last year. My husband and I are returning to a full work schedule and our health insurance (Tricare) does not cover a nurse for him, or special daycare because his only special need is the feeding tube and the medication he receives through it. Apparently that’s not enough. So is there a good company that I can purchase insurance through who will cover these types of things for him?

An alliance of insurance companies and environmentalists wants to bring a new kind of mileage-based auto insurance to California and charge motorists only for the number of miles actually driven.

Called pay as you drive, the option is available from a few insurers in 34 states … as well as Canada, Japan and Europe.

One company, GMAC Insurance Group, says its customers — whose mileage is tracked by General Motors Corp.’s OnStar system — have reduced the premiums they pay by 13% to 54%….

The system could cut motoring costs, protect the environment and reduce traffic congestion, boosters say. Opponents, mainly privacy advocates, say they fear that insurance companies could begin tracking more than just a driver’s mileage. High-mileage drivers could also see higher rates.

I want to get life insurance and after getting quote from an agent I looked into it. I found that I would get more coverage with term for a better price. I kind of understand the savings portion but wouldn’t it make more sense to get a term policy and put the rest in a etf or mutual fund, that way it’s my money and the insurance company can’t keep it if I would happen to pass. I am going to go with the term but is there any reason to go with the whole life. I’m 24 with wife and 3yr old. Also, why would the agent not tell me about term insurance, it seems like a better deal if you ask me.

I have a job that has an option for health insurance, but the insurance in terrible & expensive. My boss has agreed that if we can find a good health insurance company, that he would be willing to pay 1/2 of our premiums. I don’t have a car so I have no car insurance. Occasionally I rent a car, but I always get screwed with the rental company’s high insurance premiums. Are there any insurance companies that provide insurance on a short term basis. I have a good driving record.
