Can someone point me in the direction of some insurance companies that do not blatantly discriminate based on gender? I refuse to believe they don’t exist, and I REFUSE to be in ANY way affiliated with a company which condones such evil, immoral practices as sexism. I’m specifically looking at auto insurance, though any sort of general insurance company works.
@Valerie: You know, it’s people like you who prevent any sort of social or political progress from ever being made. While we’re telling people to “get over it” with regards to such blatant sexism, why don’t we go back in time and tell the slaves to “get over it.” You know, because it wasn’t a totally racist practice or anything. They were just complaining about a minor triviality, right? They should have all just grown up and accepted it, that’s how you think? No? The specifics may differ, but the basic principles of discrimination are exactley the same. The only way any positive change is ever made is when people grow up, stand up, and fight for what is right. Only the immature, lazy, or timid sit passivley by and let injustice consume them, as you would. I can only hope you will one day realize this, but frankly, I’m not getting my hopes up.

I go my own way, I define myself by my individual traits, and anyone who tells me that I am a worse driver because I have a penis of all possible things (I challenge you to find a correlation between my penis and my driving ability; I’ll give you a hint, there isn’t one) deserves to die. The saying, “Judge a man based on his actions, not by his race” applies here. Why don’t you look at ME; at my INDIVIDUAL driving records; and THEN make an accurate judgment about me, rather than making an ASSUMPTION because I have a penis instead of a vagina?

I moved from NY and need to find an auto insurance company. AllState and State Farm are not doing business here. I don’t want Geico or Mutual Liberty because of bad experience with them. Are the small local businesses reliable? Thank you.

Unfortunately, there is some extensive health history that prohibits the application of such traditional Term/Whole life solutions. From what I understand, actual Mortgage Life Insurance is a decreasing plan (following the decreasing principle of your loan) that is shared by both borrowers and designed only to pay off the mortgage in the event one or both borrowers dies.

I am comparing prices for car insurance. I have had State Farm forever. After talking to them and asking them what I should look for when shopping for car insurance is a policy that wont cancel you or raise rates if you have an accident. We have made claims in the past (storm damage and I hit a tree stump – no actual vehicle to vehicle accidents) and our rates have not gone up. Do other companies do the same? What about Traveler’s Auto Insurance?
