State Disability Insurance:You generally can’t get SDI and Workers’ Compensation at the same time, except when you are waiting for your Workers’ Compensation claim to be decided. You can’t get Unemployment Insurance and SDI benefits at the same time The United States Statutes at Large, commonly referred to as the Statutes at Large and abbreviated Stat., is the official source for the laws and resolutions passed by United States Congress. The Statutes at Large are generically referred to as the “session laws” of the Congress. They are part of a three-part model for publication of Federal statutes consisting of (1) slip laws, (2) session laws, and (3) codification.Code of Civil Procedure section 1005, Subdivision (b) Labor Code section 3706 other California Workers’ Compensation Handbook, Section 1210. Cases Operating Engineers Local No. 3 v. Johnson (2003) 110 Cal.App.4th 18017) I’m on SSDI. Can I be eligible for SDI too? Can I qualify for the State Disability Insurance (SDI) program while I am eligible for either Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)? Yes. Eligibility for the Social Security programs will not affect your eligibility for State Disability Insurance (SDI). However, your eligibility for State Disability may affect your eligibility or benefit amount from the Supplemental Security Income or Social Security Disability Insurance programs.
